Learn a little more about us

Our aim as a practice is to be recognized by our community as the best local small animal veterinary provider and the first place to go for all their pets’ health, welfare, advisory and nutritional needs.

Our mission at Holmefield Vets is to deliver professional veterinary care that your pets would choose for themselves at our surgeries in both Brayton and Sherburn-in-Elmet. Our priority is not only to provide them with complete diagnostics and treatment when they are ill but also to offer the best preventative health advice at all life stages - as pet owners ourselves, we know how important this is.

We also believe that our treatment of you as our clients is of equal importance. All members of our 34 strong team of experienced vets, qualified and trainee nurses, reception and administration staff will endeavour to build a strong trusted relationship with you. Using clear communication we will help you make the right decisions based on the principles of ‘best practice’ veterinary care. Through this positive partnership we will meet your expectations but aspire to exceed them.

We serve the community of Brayton and Sherburn-in-Elmet and their surrounding towns and villages. We are your pets local GP, Dentist and Veterinary Hospital.

We are a Veterinary Nurse Training practice and we are accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) to Tier 2 level so you can be confident in the level of care we provide.

We aim to listen carefully to what you need and understand the bond you have with your pet and the part they play in your lives.

Our vets, Nurses and support staff are here because they love animals and strive to make them better. We are also here to help you keep your pets in peak condition to help prevent illness. As pet owners ourselves we know what we want for our pets and aim to provide the same for your pets.
