I have always had a love for animals, from spending happy times on my grandparents’ farm and having animals at home. From a young age I have always wanted to work in the veterinary environment but When one of my own dogs became seriously ill not once, but twice in the same year before he had even got to a year old, seeing how the vets and nurses worked together to get him back to good health after so nearly being at deaths’ door, fuelled my ambition to be a part of this incredible veterinary world.
Hence I join the Holmefield family eight years ago. I am now a qualified VAC and have also recently become a Pet Bereavement Advisor. My job sees me working in all areas of the practise from being on reception to assisting the nursing and vets with operations, looking after inpatients, carrying out lab testing and ordering supplies.
At home we have a 12 year old one eyed cat, Mando who was a rescue 11 years ago with a litter of kittens and also Mushroom, the rescue staffy cross who we adopted from the Jerry Green Shelter.
